Ahtanum trails Clean-up
Hosted by the All Wheelers Off Road Club and ORV Trail Watch with cooperation from the DNR.
July 25th, 2009

The clean up area trails are on Sedge Ridge, Whites Ridge, and Foundation Ridge. This may include Trail 613, Strobach trail, Blue Lake and the Darland loop. The hours including your travel time are counted and help get funding for that DNR area. We plan to camp at the Sno-park again this year.

We are meeting at the Ahtanum Sno-park for the clean-up at 10 am. Look for the All Wheelers sign and rigs.

Image
After the clean-up we will have a bring a dish potluck around 5:30 for all the people that come out to help.

Free camping at the Ahtanum Sno-park with Friday & Saturday night meet & greets.

For more info e-mail Clay Graham at ceg@aworc.com

Please post below if you would volunteer to drive the trails and pick up trash. I need a count for the DNR.

Not a lot of room on a quad to store trash, but I have a nifty trailer that might work out OK.
I see one other quad dude signed up so far. Hope we're not ugly ducklings.

I'm going to put this on my calendar, and make every effort to make it. I'd be interested in the potluck. I could bring some boneless pork chops and instant mashed potatoes.

I can read a map, have a GPS with the road map upgrade, which sees things like A2000, A2400, N Fork Ahtanum Rd, Jackass Rd, Foundation Creek Rd, etc. I imagine I could lead a group, if there was a group to lead. When I bring people to the Green Dots near Vantage, I usually lead.

Here's my trash-collectin' machine:

I'll be there in the Wrangler, hopefully with a helper in the passenger seat. No camping, just early starts from home.

As of right now they do not know what will be lost. They did tell me they need more volunteer work hours to help save the ASF areas. I am working on a few more projects this year to get more hours in. Most will be done by the AWORC since we have a work agreement with the DNR. We could use extra help. PM if you would like to know other work days.
